Hello!
I am dedicated to advancing breastfeeding equity and supporting maternal and infant health. My passion for breastfeeding advocacy began with experiencing nursing my oldest child, during which I faced a lack of lactation support within the community. This challenge motivated me to pursue specialized education and to help families access essential breastfeeding resources. As a State Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Coordinator and a breastfeeding mother of three, I have seen firsthand the profound impact that skilled support can have on families.
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Consumer Science Business with a concentration in Child Development, as well as a Master's degree in Individual and Family Development, both from the illustrious South Carolina State University. As a certified lactation specialist (CLS) and certified birth doula (CBD), I bring both expertise and empathy to my work, advocating for comprehensive care and education for families across the state.
Outside of my professional commitments, I enjoy traveling with my family, swimming, and exploring creativity through arts and crafts. I am married to my loving husband, and together we are the proud parents of two sons and a daughter.
